Freedom Fire & Security Maintenance Ltd, embarked on a project in collaboration with Global Warehousing & Storage Ltd (GWSL). The goal was to implement a new fire alarm and aspirating system across the expansive site in Stallingborough. This project has completed two out of five warehouses, with work underway to extend the system to the remaining areas.
The scale of the operation presented logistical complications. The need to ensure the safety and protection of both personnel and valuable assets demanded careful planning and execution. Additionally, the project's ongoing nature required seamless coordination between the installation team and GWSL to minimise disruption to daily operations
We collaborated with Global Warehousing to deliver a comprehensive solution meeting their specific requirements. To achieve this, we partnered with industry-leading manufacturers and products.
We chose to implement the Advanced fire alarm system in conjunction with Hochiki, a renowned brand in the fire safety industry. This partnership allowed us to offer GWSL an advanced and flexible fire alarm system that could be tailored to their unique warehouse setup. For the aspirating smoke detection system, we opted for Xtralis VESDA panels, known for their reliability and sensitivity. These panels were procured through Honeywell, a trusted supplier in the Fire and Security industry, and a Freedom System Partner.
During the installation phase, we maintained a continuous line of communication with the GWSL team. This allowed us to coordinate effectively and minimize disruptions to their daily operations. Specifically, we ensured that products and stock were moved a day before our installation schedule to accommodate the installation of the new aspirating pipe.
The collaboration between our expert technicians, GWSL, and our trusted suppliers, Hochiki and Honeywell, seamlessly transitioned to the new fire alarm and aspirating system. The enhanced safety measures offer GWSL protection for their valuable inventory and peace of mind knowing that their facilities are equipped with high-tech fire solutions.
