A challenge presented to us by our client was to implement a solution to the need for a paper trail for staff accessing controlled storage areas within various sites.
The diverse nature of healthcare settings further complicated matters, requiring various locking solutions for different cabinets, fridges, doors, and access points. Our task was to engineer bespoke solutions tailored to each site's unique locking requirements.
Freedom embarked on a comprehensive project to develop an access management solution that could cater to the distinct requirements of various healthcare sites throughout Lincolnshire. The chosen solution was PROTEC2 CLIQ technology by Abloy, encompassing the procurement, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of this advanced digital locking system.
One of the standout features of this system is its ability to reset keys after a predetermined period. This functionality mitigates potential security risks associated with lost, misplaced, or damaged keys. Such a measure enhances security and ensures smooth operations in the healthcare environment, where every second counts.
Adopting ABLOY's PROTEC2 CLIQ technology resulted in a complete key management system. It effectively eliminated paper trails, offering real-time access logs that facilitated precise access tracking. We integrated diverse locking applications into a centralised cloud-based site management system. This innovative approach streamlined access control, providing centralised control and monitoring across multiple healthcare facilities.
For the Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust and Lincolnshire Community Health Services, the outcome was not just about security but peace of mind.
